Overview/ Research interests
My current work focuses on social sciences and human health around water. This includes research ranging from exploring water users and uses in the Table Mountain National Park area, developing a water museum, and exploring health vulnerability (related to water, sanitation and hygiene – WASH) in the context of drought, and degraded water quality. Of particular interest to ChemEng, this research includes exploring social aspects of resource recovery from waste-water, and other related social aspects of real-life application of circular economy principles. My work also includes a component that emphasizes engagement and public awareness raising, so I am part of a range of public health and social engagement projects focused on water quality/toxicity
